At Chris Truitt Oil Portraits, we believe in giving you the best price and experience in having an Oil Portrait done. We use premium canvas, highest quality oil paints and varnishes in creating your oil portrait. We produce beautiful hand painted oil portraits by using photographs to serve as a sketch. The photographs can be a professional images we make or you can supply your own from your photographer with a release. This eliminates a sitting fee cost however, if we do the photography the cost depends on the travel involved. We assist you in making the perfect selection from among the photographs for pose, expression, lighting along with background selection and colors used. We can accommodate you with request to do head swaps, arm and feet swaps to get that perfect image for your portrait so there is no need for a re-sitting and additional cost. The best part is you get to see several of the steps in the production of your portrait via email so we can get it right for you. You pay for the portrait in 3 or 4 payments. The portrait cost, plus the photographic services cost of the printing the sketch image along with canvas stretching. Lastly, the shipping cost. Sometimes deliveries can be made if we have enough for one area, Again note: The cost of the portrait does not include any photographic services or shipping. Types of Chris Truitt Oil Portraits

* The Oil Canvas Portrait-Heavily painted in a more artistic impressionistic style on background and clothing. Facial features are kept more realistic. The background is included in the price

* The Brush Oil Portrait-It is not heavily painted but painted in a photo realistic fashion for the face and clothing. An old masters blend of color type of background is included

* The Light Oil Portrait-This type of oil is transparent letting the photograph show through. It is available in 16x20 size or smaller

* The Embellished Portrait-We use your favorite portrait from your photographer with a release and print it on canvas then embellish the skin, clothing and background elements with oil paint. Available in 20x24 size only. These are sold separate or as an add on at a reduced rate

* The Oil Veil Portrait-We use your best indoor studio portrait from your photographer and print it on canvas then cover it in oil paint. The oil paint is then hand rubbed leaving the darkest shadows and beautiful highlights showing through. A final glaze is applied giving it a brilliant sheen. These are available in 16x20, 20x24 and 24x30. These are sold separate or as an add on at a reduced rate

* The Gold Beveled Portrait-A color copy of your painting. 8x10 or smaller and great for your desk at work or for gifts for grandparents. These are available in a variety of sizes as you will want to use the one that closely matches the format of your large oil painting
